Axon · reasoning diagnostic engine

From symptom
to source.

RepairMind puts Axon — a reasoning AI — on the repair bench. Describe the fault in plain words and follow its reasoning as the signal narrows from a dead board to the exact failing component.

01 — Symptom

It starts with a symptom.

No power. No charge. No Face ID. Plain words are enough to open a case — Axon takes it from there.

02 — Reasoning

Axon thinks in the open.

Before every answer it streams the reasoning — so you see why it wants a reading, and can catch a wrong turn before it costs a reflow.

thinking
zero current draw → board isn't attempting power-on… so the fault sits upstream of SoC sequencing… check the primary rail first: PP_VDD_MAIN at the PMIC… expected ~3.7–4.3 V from a bench supply… if present → PMIC main buck is alive, look downstream… if 0 V → suspect the main buck or its enable line… next discriminator after this: PP1V8 always-on…
03 — Hypotheses

The causes, ranked.

Axon weighs the probable causes and orders them by confidence — re-ranking as each new reading comes in.

Charging IC — Tigris72%
USB-C port / flex21%
Battery protection FET7%
04 — Measurement

One reading at a time.

It asks for a specific voltage at a specific test point, with the range it expects. Enter it once — out of range is flagged on the spot.

05 — Root cause

The signal arrives.

Ranked causes resolve to one. Axon hands you the procedure and the part number — grounded in a curated board-level knowledge base, not open-web guesswork.
